|Makes your catch more secure, causing the "fishing bar" to cling to your catch. Works best on slow, weak fish.

|{{Description|Barbed Hook}}
|This hook will make your fishing bar 'cling' to the fish, automatically going up or down to try to stay on the middle of the fish. It will only try to move when the bar is actually on the fish. You can still manually control the bar but it's rather difficult as you need to catapult yourself out of the fish because the pull is pretty strong. This tackle is best used against slow fish and is not recommended to use against faster fish as it will probably make the catch more difficult with the bar's random movements.

Tackle can be attached to the Iridium Rod to make it easier to catch fish. Many lure recipes unlock as the player's fishing skill increases.

You must have an Iridium Rod to equip tackle. An Iridium Rod allows both tackle and bait to be used simultaneously. To attach bait or tackle to an Iridium Rod, left-click on the bait/tackle, then right-click on the Iridium Rod.

Tackles have a durability-bar, which decreases on use. They wear out after 20 uses and need to be replaced.

  • If you wait until the last use of a tackle, you can instead sell the tackle for more than most fish are worth individually; durability does not affect the price of the tackle when sold.
