The Workbench allows players to craft items using ingredients which are stored in adjacent chests (any of the 8 surrounding spaces, including diagonally). It can be purchased from the Carpenter's Shop for 2,000g.
Similarly to how a dish can be prepared in the kitchen using ingredients stocked in nearby fridges, crafting an item with a Workbench will consume items stored in adjacent chests as if they were stored in the players inventory.
When crafting with the workbench, the items are consumed in the following order:
- Firstly, The Workbench will scan The Player's Inventory for the required items. If the player has them in their Inventory, they are used first.
- Secondly, The Workbench will scan the Oldest Chest for the Required Items. If they are there, they are consumed.
- After that, the Workbench repeats the process from the oldest Chest to the one placed most recently (Newest Chest).
This System works just like how the Mini-Fridge works in relation with the Cooking System. (Read Mini-Fridge - Notes)
