The Frog Egg is a trinket item dropped by enemies.
Equipping the Frog Egg in the trinket slot spawns a frog which follows you around. When enemies are present (around 4 tiles away from the frog), it consumes the nearest enemy by grabbing it with its tongue. The frog will then follow the player with a full belly. After returning to normal size, the frog will eat the next enemy. It takes 12 seconds after eating until the frog is able to eat another enemy.
Note that enemies killed by the frog will not drop anything, and do not count as kills towards quests or Monster Eradication Goals.
The egg can be reforged using an Anvil to change the color of the frog. Available colors include blue-green, brown, green (common); blue, red, yellow (uncommon); void (rare); prismatic (exceptionally rare).
The frog egg can also be put inside a Fish Tank or a Jungle Tank, hatching a frog.
