Foraging is a type of skill in Stardew Valley. It is the a process of gathering wild food resources (and other specific items). There are a variety of wild crops which grow seasonally. These items can be used as cooking ingredients, villager gifts, and Community Center bundle completion.
Chopping wood with an axe also counts as foraging, and can increase the player's foraging skill.
