“ | “Abigail lives at the general store with her parents. She sometimes fights with her mom, who worries about Abigail’s “alternative lifestyle”. Her mom has the following to say: “I wish Abby would dress more appropriately and stop dyeing her hair blue. She has such a wonderful natural hair color, just like her grandmother did. Oh, and I wish she’d find some wholesome interests instead of this occult nonsense she’s into.” You might find Abigail alone in the graveyard, or maybe out in a rainstorm looking for frogs.” |

Gifts
Gifts are the only way to increase hearts in a peer to peer relationship. Gifts on birthdays have the greatest effect. Best gifts have the greatest effect outside of birthdays. Good gifts are slightly worse than best gifts, but still increase hearts. Bad gifts have no positive or negative effect on hearts. Worst gifts will have a slightly negative effect on hearts.

Heart Events
Two Hearts
When you enter Pierre's shop, a cutscene will play in which you enter Abigail's room and watch her get angry about a videogame. She then asks you to help her with a level in a console version of "Journey of the Prairie King". You then proceed to play the game the same way as on the arcade machine, but Abigail is playing with you as a second player and she will actively help you. After you finish the level, she'll thank you and the cutscene will end.
Four Hearts
When you walk by The Lake on the way to The Mines during the day on a rainy day, you'll come across a cutscene of Abigail playing her flute. She'll ask what you're doing out in the rain, and then invite you to stand under the tree with her. You pull out a harp and the two of you play a duet as the camera pans out over the lake.
Six Hearts
If you walk into town after dark, a cutscene of Abigail in the graveyard will play. She'll tell you that she's been practicing with her sword because she wants to go on adventures. She'll ask you if you've ever used a sword, then Pierre will interrupt, saying that Caroline has been looking for her to come help cook dinner. Abigail gets angry, saying they only expect her to help cook because she's a girl, and she will flee, calling for you to follow. The two of you hide in some bushes and talk, then the cutscene ends.
Eight Hearts
You'll receive a letter from 'Abby' to visit her in her room after 8pm to 'show you something cool'. It may take a couple of days but eventually entering her home after 8pm will trigger a cutscene where she shows you her spirit board. It reveals a message that indicates she's starting to develop feelings for you. She gets nervous and rushes you out of her room. The next day she'll visit you in the morning and apologize.
Ten Hearts
Once getting to ten hearts and giving Abigail a bouquet, entering The Mines during the late afternoon (5pm) may trigger a cutscene. As Abigail is preparing to go down the ladder into the mine, she becomes alarmed by a bat flying up into her face. She laughs it off after seeing its just a bat and looks back down the hole. Hundreds more bats fly up and she becomes petrified, immediately running to corner of the room and crying shortly after. You then rush in to comfort her, and she'll confess she likes you as more than a friend and tells the player just to stay with her there. She then kisses you. Once the cutscene ends, she disappears.
Marriage
The wedding will take place 3 days after you propose and be handled by Abigail. The marriage ceremony takes place in the center of Pelican Town with every member of the town attending the event. Once the ceremony is complete, she will move into your farm. A miniature version of her room will be placed in the right side of your current home. This has no impact on the external look of your house.
Behavior
Abigail exhibits 3 notable behaviors once married.
- 1: Taking care of tasks for you
- Watering all crops on your farm (only in spring, summer, and fall)
- Repairing broken fences.
- Feeding all animals (only in winter)
- Watering your dog's/cat's bowl
- 2: Cooking breakfast, adding one random breakfast food to your inventory. If inventory is full, you will not receive a breakfast item.
- 3: Giving a stardrop as a symbol of love
- Get your spouse to 13/12 hearts and speak to them in your home. She will comment about life on the farm and how they are enjoying it, then give you the Stardrop Fruit as thanks.
Dialogue Updates
Abigail has newer dialogue once married. To name a few:
- Asking player how their day was
- Telling player not to over exhaust self on farm chores
- Cheering player on during farm chores
Unique dialogue is also added. If giving a gift to a single person in town, she becomes suspicious. Sometimes during events, when talking to her, she will inform the player that she will not talk to any guys, so you don't have to worry.
Dialogue
