The Spring Onion is found via foraging in Spring in Cindersap Forest in the area north of the Sewer entrance. The Livin' Off The Land Television channel airs a tip about Spring Onions on day 4. Spring Onions may randomly appear in the Traveling Cart's stock for 100–1,000g.
Once the player has earned 8 hearts of friendship with Jas and Vincent, Spring Onion Mastery can be obtained, which permanently increases the sell price of Spring Onions by 5×.

Notes
Unlike other foragables in the game, Spring Onion spawn chances are not determined by the game ID / seed. Their RNG is initialized based on the "global" RNG, which is not tied to your system clock and for all intents and purposes is completely random. (Thus, while an already-created save file will have the same numbers of Spring Onions if you replay the day over and over, a separate save file that is manually set to the same game ID / seed will potentially have a different number of Spring Onions.)
Trivia
On rainy days a harvested Spring Onion will leave behind a tile of dry tilled soil, whereas other tilled soil will be wet.Template:Review
History
- 1.3: Added Spring Onion Mastery.
- 1.4: Spring Onions' quality is now determined at the start of the day. This fixes an exploit where repeatedly clicking on a Spring Onion with a full inventory would harvest the Onion and change its quality to the quality of an Onion held in inventory. Can now be used in Tailoring.
